Your Body the Hero!
One of the things I love to see when I am Coaching on the circuit, or hear about when I speak to members is the renewal of their connection to their bodies.
What they experience as they are exercising, actually Strength Training, and finally discovering what they’re bodies are capable of is an incredible thing to watch.
Especially if they have not exercised in a while, avoided exercise or believed they weren’t exercisers. Even women with some very debilitating conditions, find how much better their bodies function through regular exercise.
Your body is designed for movement. Not just your muscles, your arms and legs, and your heart but EVERYTHING is optimised with movement. Your brain functions better with exercise, your digestion is improved, your joints will benefit, your breathing will improve, even your vision is improved – everything just works better.
Your body is there for you, doing all sorts of things without being asked. Sometimes not doing things you do ask!
I think generally speaking your body is trying to overcome whatever your life has thrown at it in the best way it can.
We ask a lot of our bodies and I’m not sure we always treat them with the respect they deserve, and I understand why.
Movement is all it takes, moving your body is (probably) the highest form of self-respect. Self-love? I’m not sure we need that slushy stuff, but self-respect, that’s some kind of super power you can wield
every
single
day.
Discovering what your body can do is a turning point worth celebrating - and Strong arms make for awesome celebrations 💪
