Our Mission Statement
At Curves Ilkeston our mission is to improve the lives and wellbeing of local women by helping them to focus on their health and well-being, encouraging them to feel more positive about themselves and teaching them to understand the connection between their mental and physical health and understand the role exercise plays in that.
We want them to love them, for everyone to feel accepted. We achieve this with our daily actions and our understanding that each small task, word or moment of kindness builds the bigger picture of creating STRONG empowered women who CHOOSE to be fit and healthy.
We advocate that everyone is an individual and that’s OK.
Our message is, at Curves there are no limits.

Coach rosie “We can all achieve much more than we believe we can. One of the best parts of this job is seeing women begin to believe in themselves. You can see the realisation that “yes they can do it” and you see them push themselves more than they ever believed possible.”

Health and fitness has always been, in some form, part of my life. It wasn’t until I was in university that I discovered the power exercise has on not only your physical health, but your mental health as well. This was the start of my need to help others achieve their personal goals.

My favourite part about working at Curves is for sure seeing the smiles on the members faces as they feel themselves become stronger both physically and mentally through the use of Strength Training, celebrating all their wins no matter how big or small, and being part of a huge community of women all working towards the same goal: looking after themselves!

I first came to Curves for my year 10 work experience. I knew little about Curves but as soon as I arrived, I loved it.

What do I love about Curves? I have already said I love the members; they’re like my second family even out of the gym. I love the Coaches; they are lifelong friends. Who doesn’t love coming to work when you get to have fun (and work)
Coach Sall
When I first walked into Curves (to scope it out prior to a job interview!) I could not believe what I saw – 7 women, ALL Strength Training. I knew this was the place for me.
