Your X-factor is the FOUNDATION of your MOTIVATION

Coach Sall

This month in the gym we are focusing on X-factors.

Your X-factor is the million-dollar reason you want to get fit, healthy and in shape.

Your X-factor is the thing that gets you in the door, whether it’s for the first time, the first time in a while, or the 1000th time.

This stuff is IMPORTANT!

It's the thing that we can remind you of that makes any and all the obstacles and excuses fade into the background. It's the one thing that, when we call you on a dark, cold, wet November night because you've not worked out for two weeks that will bring you running back. It's the thing that makes you capitulate, probably sigh, look at your shoes and tell us when you will be next in.

If you don’t know what your X-factor is, then you might struggle to stay motivated and be consistent with your workouts. Without it it’s easy to get distracted by the next novelty diet or “some other” activity.

🔥 A good X-factor puts you right back to the moment you first started this and were all fired up with motivation and how you were gonna change your life 🔥

Your X-factor helps you prioritise your workouts, not as THE most important thing in your day, but as one of the important things that cannot be and doesn’t get bounced to another day/week/month/year just because someone else needs something (while they might be important to you, the thing they need usually isn’t that important or that urgent.).

X-factors aren’t for life, they evolve and can change, and it is useful to have two. I’m a big believer in back-ups, you know, if you’re not in the mood for one, the other will work! Really good, effective X-factors take time to hone, to really get right, to get something that cannot be ignored in the face of adversity.

So, it's time to decide, it's time to put your stake in the ground and get your X-factor honed into the glue that will commit you to your goals.

Dannii and I did a live video discussion a couple of years ago that you might find a useful watch. It's just over 18 minutes long and there are timestamps in the description so you can skip about (mainly over the waffle that’s always at the start of a “live”!)
